
Wednesday, August 9 was officially Dull and Boring Day, and Jaguar marked the occasion by launching a campaign for the 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE in the towns of Dull, Perthshire in Scotland and Boring in Oregon. The company presented two residents from each town with a new 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE R and sent them off to enjoy everyday activities.
In a press release, Joe Torpey, Communications Manager, Jaguar Land Rover North America, stated, "The Jaguar F-TYPE is our performance sports car, so we wanted to demonstrate how the vehicle can excite the senses and enhance everyday driving experiences. Bringing the F-TYPE to the cities of Dull and Boring allowed us to have a bit of fun with the brand in a way that was relatable for Jaguar consumers in the United Kingdom and the United States."
The 2018 F-TYPE is offers driver-focused technologies and is available with the broadest model range ever. The 24 versions on offer range from a turbocharged 4-cylinder entry level model to the powerhouse SVR that features a V8 engine that makes 575 horsepower and is capable of reaching 200 mph (please obey all speed limits).
