In 2016, Jaguar became the first premium manufacturer to join Formula E and now Jaguar has created a new championship for production-based electric cars.
In 2018, Jaguar will sponsor the 10-event international racing championship that will feature 20 drivers, including a different VIP driver at every event, racing for the eTROPHY. The race series will highlight the launch of the 2018 Jaguar I-PACE, Jaguar's anticipated five-seat all-electric sports cars.

The series will begin in late 2018 and will be in some of the world's greatest cities like Hong Kong, Paris, Rome, and New York. Jaguar is committed to developing new electric technology and recently announced that all Jaguar models will have electric options by 2020.
